Embedding files in Trello
Whimsical files can be embedded in Trello Cards. Here’s how:
Open a card in Trello, and paste the file’s URL into the description field. Click Save:
The link is transformed into a “SmartLink” automatically. Hover over the SmartLink and click “Preview” within the thumbnail to display the board in a modal:
Note:
- The file must be public if you want other people to view it — learn more about file permissions here — It’s not possible to view boards which require you to be logged into Whimsical.
- Docs aren’t currently supported, only boards, wireframes and projects may be embedded.
