Updates to our plans & pricing (What’s changing)
Starting February 5, 2025, we’re rolling out some changes to our plans. We expect to have these changes completed by the end of February. If you have questions, read on or contact us if there is anything else we can help with.

To offer you more flexible plans that fit your needs, we’re making updates to our plans and pricing. This includes new plan names, some different limits, and a brand new Business plan.
The new plans are as follows:
- Free (formerly Starter)
- Pro (no name change)
- Business (new plan)
- Enterprise (formerly Org)

Board limits are not changing, and there is still no limit to the number of items you can create. 👌
On any paid plan, you can create as many boards as you like. On the free plan you can create unlimited private boards in “My files” and 3 team boards in your “Teams” sections.
On all plans, you can create unlimited docs and projects. 👍

New guest limitsLink to this section
To make things simpler to manage and understand, guest limits are now applied at the workspace level, instead of per file or folder. As an added bonus, all plans are now able to invite guests with editor permissions.
The new limits for each plan are:
- Free: 10 guests per workspace (formerly 5 guests per file)
- Pro: 50 guests per workspace (formerly 10 guests per file)
- Business: 100 guests per workspace
- Enterprise: 200 guests per workspace* (formerly 20+ editors per file)
*For a custom guest limit on the Enterprise plan, please get in touch.

All plans have a default “Everyone at workspace” team that cannot be changed (think of it like the #general channel in Slack).
Including this team, the limits per plan are as follows:
- Free: 3 (formerly unlimited)
- Pro: 6 (formerly unlimited)
- Business: Unlimited
- Enterprise: Unlimited
On the Pro plan, you can now also create private teams, formerly the Pro plan only supported public teams.

Teams is a section in your workspace where you can collaborate with other members of the workspace.
My files are files you own that are separate from any teams files. Like a sketchbook or notebook, “My files” is a place where you can jot down your ideas and experiment with different concepts. On the free plan you can invite members to view your personal files, but they won’t be able to edit or comment on them unless they are moved to “Teams”.
Boards are Whimsical files which offer an infinite canvas where you can visualize your ideas, workflows, and processes using a range of tools, such as flowcharts, mind maps, and wireframes. On our Free plan, you can create unlimited private boards in your “My Files” section, and 3 team boards in your “Teams” section.
Docs are Whimsical files which offer collaborative text editing and let you to create, edit and share customized documents, such as wikis, meeting notes, project plans or product specifications.
Projects are Whimsical files where you can manage your tasks, organize documentation, and create and send posts.
Guests are Whimsical users outside your workspace that you invite to specific files or folders in your workspace. Usually guests are individuals who need limited or temporary access to certain folders or files, such as external collaborators (contractors, clients, etc.)
